You mean SOME women, of course...(I know, you just accidentally left that word out, right?) and the reason is that some women really enjoy cooking, just like a lot of men do (my dad, for example; he's a great cook, and definitely in "HIS element" in the kitchen).

That's not always the case, some women hate kitchen chores. In our household, I am the king of the kitchen, so I cook for her and our two children.

First of all your comment is presumptuous.
Second, not all women are "in their element" in the kitchen.
Personally, I'm comfortable in the kitchen but my husband is the one who is comfortable. He's the cook in our family.

I am, but I love to cook. My aunt however has only stepped into her kitchen to grab something from the fridge because she hates everything to do with cooking. She's lived in the home for over 20 years & never turned the stove on. *lol*
Guess it just depends on the woman.

that's right ! I'm in the kitchen doing science experiments, and projects ! Growing up, we might not have eaten if Daddy hadn't done the cooking. He was an excellent cook.

You must be surrounded with women who love to cook, but on the other hand, like it or not, some women are only members of their household that spend time in it, so it's maybe the only place in the house that "belongs" only to them...

It is where most of the daily household choice take place and a women is generally in charge of the daily running of the household. The meals, cleaning, ect.. and most kids are told don't go in the kitchen when mommy's ___________. so its like your own little place and a husband will not enter to fear of being asked to take out the trash.

I'm a woman and I hate the kitchen. I'm assuming you are a man, otherwise you wouldn't have asked this question, so let me ask you this: Are you in your element in the shed? or the Garage? If you are male, you must therefore be an expert at DIY, mechanics, heavy lifting, gardening etc.

Some women like kitchen, and they are more than men... it's our culture, girls play they prepare meals when they are little, and they just have it in their brains from childhood.

I guess you've never eaten in a restaurant with a male chef - and you've never had a poorly cooked meal made by a woman who can't even boil water!
