only about 35 people drive f1 cars (including test drivers) out of over a billion people so yeh, ur chances are pretty slim, unless u put 24 hours a day 7 days a week into tuning your skills and u hav money

The basic path is that you need to have alot of success in lower levels of autoracing, and you need to do that at a very young age. And, it will help if you are on the small size in terms of stature... there have been a couple F1 drivers and test drivers over the years that are tall, but this will make it more difficult to break into an initial position as it means you would not be able to share some of the same parts made for other drivers.

The first step for most will be go karting. This is a great place to learn car control and some aspects of race craft. It can also be very competitive and provide a good platform to get some attention. From there you would need to get a competition license and get involved in an open wheeled series such as Formula BMW... series like Formula Mazda could be competitive as well, but you need to choose a series that has good visibility in Europe with the F1 teams.

If you are successful enough at this level, there will likely be options open up in Formula 3 or GP2. And success there could lead to a testing seat... and so on. However, if you look at the numbers, it's a long shot. And worse when you consider how long it will take to develop the needed driving skills, and that anything over 25 is probably too old for starting out in F1. If you are already old enough to have a driver's license, and have never raced, it's unlikely that you would be able to develop the kinds of skill you need within the ~10 year window you would have to reach that level.

Start racing a go-kart, win some races, and then someone from a team will take notice and sign you up for an open-wheel test. Then see your F1 racing career take off! Hey, everyone in F1 started this way!

My guess would just try to start racing in whatever vehicles you have access you a kart would probably be best to start out. I dont know that much about F1 but probably just seat time. I would think it would arguably be the hardest seriest to have a shot at because its much more global then other racing series. But just seat time in whatever vehicle you can oh yea and having some talent

You did'nt mentioned that how far you are trying for it. If you are a beginnier then I will suggest you to go to "Go-Karting" and start winning races. Once you are good at it then better go and join to a racing academy where you can get the tips for powerful driving which is needed in F1. After you become trained enough then you need to get the F1 license......................Best of luck......NMN
