How do I tell him that it's over
How do I say that I've let go
How can I do this to him now
How do I let him Know

Do I tell him about us
About the way we feel inside
Or do I dance around the subject
Tell the truth or tell a lie

I know it's going to hurt him
He really loves me you see
But I don't feel for him what I feel for you
In my heart it just can't be

I'm tired of sneaking around
I'm sick of these awful games
I want this to be over
So I'll no longer live in shame

I love you with all my heart
I feel so connected to your soul
But I've made up my mind not to tell him
Even though it hurts me so

I just can't break his heart
He's a great guy you see
So even though it's killing me
Our love just cannot be

I'm sorry that this happened
please, you've got to understand
You'll have my heart forever
But him, he'll have my hand
