Pediatrician Visits Cost

2016-10-14 01:39:06 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

Our son's pediatrician office charges 119 per visit if it is being billed to insurance and 92 per visit if it is self pay. The cost for visits that include vaccinations are pretty much the same and don't have a significant cost increase. Best of luck! Now time for the information you didn't ask for. Many families who make too much for a cover everything with no charge to you medicate still qualify for a children's access card that has a15 dollar co pay a month, then they cover everything else. Medicaid also has a program where qualifying families receive up to 100 dollars a month per child to pay for an insurance premium. This means that the families would still have the deductible and copays to pay, but they wouldn't have to worry about the monthly premium. More information is available at local department of health and welfare offices.

My pediatrician charges $190 for well visits and $60 for sick visits and my children don't have insurance some times she gives my a break on the price and I only have to pay $90 and $30 so I guess it all depends on the Dr. and how she/ he is feeling that day...

It really does depend, what area are you from? Also is it a well care visit or sick visit? If you call ahead of time and tell them you don't have insurance they do not charge the same amount as they do the insurance companies. I was in between one time and my son was sick and I called and explained they still took me that day and only charged me $12. They really do care about kids, so just be honest with them and ask.

Well, I took my son to the dr. and they didn't accept his insurance. They charged $130 for his 4 month checkup, including shots. All drs are different. You can call and ask them how much they charge before you go. Or you can go to the Health Dept. There is no shame in that and you may even qualify for special payment plans. Or, get your child his own insurance...that is what we did b/c it was way way cheaper then going through my husband's work. Check out...Blue Choice Kids or research on the internet.

I just had my daughter in for a sick visit...........it was $72.

She is going in for a kindergarten physical next week and without immunizations it will be $150.

Call around some Dr's give a discount to people without insurance who pay cash.
