You can have a chemical pregnancy, test, while the hormones are still present, and then get a negative a few days later after they fade. But generally that first positive test is faint, and then disapears in a few days.
Other than that, no. You cannot get a false positive. 7 months is too long to still have the pregnancy hormone in your body from the last pregnancy, this is your second baby.
I take it you werent planning on it, but, oh well! Your life just got really exciting!
Just enjoy yourself. You'll be fine.

Well i have had a false positive useing superdrugs own brand infact i had 2 but at the docters it was negative. It only really happens if you read the test after the valid time frame for example mine both were positive after work which was 5 hours later. Also if its a ghostly line it is just the evaporation line showing But if you have read your result in the valid time (within 5mins) and it is a colour band id say 99.9% you are pregnant again.False positives are extremely rare and happen when tests are misused.Try doing another test if its positive too its time to see a doc

It's VERY rare for someone to get a false positive. These tests are 99% accurate if you followed the instructions. A positive means that the test detected the hCG hormone in your urine. The only way this hormone would be present is if you are pregnant or if you just had a miscarriage. Sorry, good luck!

Hi - the pregnancy hormone - hCG increases throughout your pregancy and it is this that the tests detect. your body takes a long time after birth to excrete this & you may well have a level that is high enough to be picked up on a test from your previous pregnancy - however, it may also mean that you are pregnant - so another test may not settle the problem. best thing to do is go and get a blood test with your doctor.
as i understand it a false positive test is very very rare.
good luck
xx

Like a couple of the other people have said, a negative answer is more likely to be wrong than a positive answer. Good luck! The best way to know for sure is to visit your doctor and have them do a blood test.

Well i am in a much similiar situation i have a 4 month old i cant accurately recall my last period, but i know its late and i've taken 2 pregnancy tests and both are positive.. it is wayy to0 early for me to be able to manage another baby, but i was kind of hopin m test were wrong. i dont know wats the accountability rate for these things, but try takin another one from a differetn brand and if your answer is the same then CONGRATULATIONs! i was feeling flustered wen i found out yesterday i cried all day, but today i am much calmer and ready to accept this. So goo0d luck and i highly doubt the test is worng, but plese take my advice and retest. Also plan to make a visit to your doctor..

Most pregnancy tests are about 99% accurate and if you are already a couple of days late I would say it is very likely. I suppose there is always a chance that it is wrong but not very likely. I would wait a few days and try again and if it is positive again make an appointment with your doctor.
Good luck

nowadays the tests are 99.9% correct so I would assume that you are pregnant again. It is really easy to conceive soon after having a baby. I'm living proof because my 1st born was seven months when I fell again. Lots of hard work ahead but lots of fun too and many benefits of having two at similar ages. Good luck hunny. small tip, make sure your baby spends lots of time with other babies and children so that when your new one arrives it will be easier for him/her to deal with. Also when new one arrives and people come tom visit, make sure that they greet your oldest one first and don't go straight to the baby, this way there will be no resentment.

pregnancy tests are almost always correct. sometimes they can be negative when your are pregnant but when they show positive they are always correct. pregnancy tests work by measuring the level of HCG (pregnancy hormone) in your urine, if the level of this is high then the test will show positive. congratulations your gonna be a mum again xx

Good luck and congrats because it sounds like you are pregnant. I would call the doctor to be sure but i don't think you can get a false positive.
