I do. And my blood temperature rises, my hands get sweaty, I slow to 45 mph, turn the radio off, make everyone in the car stay completely and drive like a granny. How does one drive normally drive without having a complete panic attack on a day to day basis? Especially when it's a windy day?

There are all types of phobias. Are you afraid of death? Do you feel that the bridge is going to crumble beneath you? You are not alone! Try thinking of something pleasant. Take some deep breaths, exhale. Listening to some soothing music may help too. Talk positive to yourself. Everything is going to be just fine. Remember you have been down that path before and you overcome your fear. You will overcome!!!!!!!

Your negativity is damning you from ever truly living stress free. Why would anyone get nervous doing things that humans have done for 100 years on such a large scale as driving? Do you have panic attacks when you are at the beach too? You've got more of a chance that something bad will happen to you there than on a bridge. You have an unhealthy fear that is putting your passengers and other drivers at risk. Because of your paranoia, you are hindering your driving skill which is unsafe. While driving you should be calm, relaxed, and aware of the risks around you while remaining cool. So no to your question, and I hope you get some help for your paranoia because I wouldn't want to 'run in to you' on the road.

my mom does! we took a vacation to SC a few yrs back and she was driving us somewhere and we had to cross a bridge that was about 1/4 mile long (no exit ramps, of course) but she tries to slow down and pull to the side of the road bc she is so nervous and trying to close her eyes....only there was no side of the road and our side had 3-4 lanes of traffic!!! instead of height or blowing off the bridge she could have easily killed us by stopping in the middle of the interstate with all the traffic behind us

(i will be driving from now on)

That's something I've to do very often since I live in an island with many rivers and lagoons and roads near by the beach. Sorry you have that phobia.

I don't. You're probably thinking about it too much. Just tune it out.
