you would have to have gone through court and filed a legal separation agreement-it wouldhave child supoort any support payments, and bills you are taking responsibility for, etc.

seriously , i lost the lot , house car , everything , if you have stuff , or it is going through court now , and you have stuff , sell stuff , and pay the credit card debt with the contents , if you are a male , you will lose most anyway , aim on being debt free when it all goes down the $hitcan , there is nothing like losing the lot , and then having a debt to rub it in.. start on the possessions which have no legal entitlment (ie deemed both) if you have kids , you will literally be left with the shirt on your back, and if you dont you are lucky , once it is over stay there , and stay strong , i feel your pain man (only do this if you plan not to ever go back)

Should be terms in the seperation agreement stating what needed to be done with debt and credit cards.

Still need to go back to your atty and see if this was addressed correctly and what the penalty is for violating this agreement.
