Why is this being asked in Politics?

To answer your question. Yes, we Americas ate all the pies and that is why we're all over weight and obese. Next we're going to start eating all the crumpets so look out!

Forget America for meat pies, or Britain. You ought to go to New Zealand if you want to find a good pie. All you get in pies (here and there) is hooves and eyelids modged up. Go to NZ their pies - as good as good as eating a top price joint or a fine rump steak. And they even have imported HP sauce over there that you can have on 'em. Why ever NZ tourism doesn't put meat pie eating at the top of the list of reasons for flying half way around the earth to visit I don't know. They'd be building another airport to cope with the surge.

LOL..National shortage? you have heard of "As American as apple pie", right?, just because you failed to notice something as insignificant as people eating pie (and you wont find pie in many restaurants for many reasons) doesn't mean it doesn't happen. There are establishments built on their reputation of having great pies, the supermarkets have half an aisle dedicated to pies in the frozen section. So next time you visit, look a little deeper for a good pie place. You will be pleasantly surprised

You gotta be kidding!

Americans eat pie's?

Look at the belly's, we eat pie's like you drink beer. We drink beer like you too, heh heh.

We have Pumkin Pie, Chess Pie, Cocanut Cream, Chicken Pot Pie, Shepards Pie and so on. Not many Mince Meat pies but an occasional Rhubarb Pie is nice.

So you must not have travelled much in the States?

As an american, I am glad to answer your question. YES we do have pies, all kinds of them in fact...apple, cherry, coconut creme, etc. Unfortunately due to there high nutritional content we save them for our children so they can build strong healthy bodies. After that there really isnt much left for the rest of us :( Same goes for cheeseburgers, pizza and french/freedom fries, unless of course your on foodstamps, then you get all the free junk food and soda you can handle, hahahahahaha......I do find you to be hilarious, and I have always wondered how the rest of the world view America, obviously you think about the USA alot, so tell me, as an Englishman how do you feel?

We have no shortage of pies here and we do eat plenty of them: apple pies, cherry pies, lemon meringue pies, banana cream pies etc...The only kind we do not have is that horrible thing you call kidney pie. Keep it over there, will you?

Pies are sold at every supermarket and available at just about any diner and restaurant. How could you have missed them if you've been to our country?

I lived in America and I found that they generally only serve sweet pies. There is every flavour you can imagine though! My favourite place to eat was Perkins restaurant which was open 24hours and they had all these flavours:

Apple Pie
Caramel Apple Pie
Lemon Meringue Pie
Wildberry Pie
Chocolate French Silk Pie
Banana Cream Pie
Coconut Cream Pie
Peanut Butter Silk Pie

One thing I do remember is when the movie "Chicken Run" came out and i went to watch it with my friends and in one of the scenes they were making pies out of the chickens and I said to my friends.............."mmmmmmm I would LOVE to eat a chicken pie now!" and they thought that was really weird and gross!

American Pie - Pecan Pie - Short answer Yes they do, but not on the grand scale we enjoy in the UK.

I think in America Burgers are in preference to Pies as fast food.

I think American's eat their Pies in the privacy of their own homes.

We are such a super gluttonous overweight country that one must figure that all the pies have been consumed. But not to worry many more will be on the way because our nation consumes 40 percent of the worlds goods, including 40 percent of the worlds foods, leaving 60 percent of all goods for the rest of the world.Just super size me to point where I balloon into a blob. That is the true American way of life...Tom Science 4

The dirty american bastards lol. Now i'm going to get loads of Americans calling me racist but for all you guys, it's from Catherine Tate a British comedienne.
