I was driving my daughter 2 school, 1 of her classmates was walking, (it is below zero) he had no coat on. I gave him a ride. HIs mom is a local crackhead. I asked him if he had a coat he said no. I wanted to cry. I felt so bad for him. Should I buy him a coat? Or would I just be helping the mom out in her addiction. It angers me that parents can be so f*ckin ignorant. The poor kids face was practically purple. It really made an impression on me. What do u think?

Giggles, your story makes my heart sad, and yes that would be awesome if you bought that boy a coat. I would love to see the smile on his face when you give it to him. Parents like that should have to apply for a license before there allowed to have children. That ho would fail every time.

I know its really hard to see the innocent victims of Crack abuse and you'll even go out of your way to help but in the end the only thing that will help is if you call child protection services.I had a friend that got caught up in his addiction and left his 2 year old and 5 month old to fend for themselves. I called the police and had him and his girlfriend arrested and the kids were placed with a good family. Now I can sleep at night knowing the kids are eating healthy and have clean clothes and a fighting chance at this world. do what your heart tells you is right.

Drug abuse has a wide range of definitions related to taking a psychoactive drug or performance enhancing drug for a non-therapeutic or non-medical effect. Some of the most commonly abused drugs include alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, cocaine, methaqualone, opium alkaloids, and minor tranquilizers. Use of these drugs may lead to criminal penalty in addition to possible physical, social, and psychological harm, both strongly depending on local jurisdiction.[1] Other definitions of drug abuse fall into four main categories: public health definitions, mass communication and vernacular usage, medical definitions, and political and criminal justice definitions.

Perhaps you should report the mother to the authorities...sooner than later.

I think you should help the child. He can't help it if his mother is stupid. Or call you local child protective services. Maybe they can help.
