now don't think I' m some conspiracy nut, but
I watched a program on history channel about end time and then I started to research it,

it would seem there is definite truth behind the fact that at least 3 so called "oracles" has predicted the end of days as being Dec 1st 2012

of coarse no one has been right before

it would seem though that there is a lot of truth behind the idea that the mayans were right on the money (astronomically speaking) Scientist agree that very close to that date the planet will be in line with the center of the galaxy and our Sun ( this can't be good )

So the questions are:

Is this true? will we cross the "galactic equator" Dec 2012

and Should we start bending and kissing quite yet?

Try going to this site. It might clear it up for you a bit. I've been researching stuff on this site for years and Wikipedia actually pulls information from here, so i trust most of the info.

It's not December 1st ... it's 12/21/2012, which is the day of the winter solstice.

As for whether this will be the end of the world, who knows. I doubt it. But if you're honestly fearful, then you better start living life to the fullest!

I have to admit to extreme confusion. Why should crossing the "galactic equator" have any effect? Why should this be any different to being just to one side or the other? The forces involved do not dramatically increase at any particular point. It will make no difference whatsoever to the Earth.

Some people just have to have a scare going.

Firstly, they probably all got their information from the Mayan calendar (which has been around for a few thousand years...)
Secondly, the date is the 21st, NOT the 1st.

The alignment involves the milky way, not the Sun.

As for the end of the world...no. Not yet.

;)

The History Channel should be embarrassed by programing like that.
