I was in America for a month - I couldn't believe the amount of food people ate, and the sizes of portions etc. A typical day (in my life anyway) would be to have one slice of toast and a cup of tea for breakfast, then at lunch have a sandwich (not a huge hoagie/subway type of thing) but two slices of bread, a bit of salad cream and a couple of slices of ham, then an evening meal a bit of steamed haddock with rice. I may have a pizza or a McDs or something on a weekend but only on a weekend - not everyday. And a 10" pizza does between two of us.

I went to restaurant with my friend - we ordered a pizza between us, after that was finished she looked back at the menu for the main course - I was like 'we've just eaten it'. She couldn't believe how little people eat in UK. I couldn't believe how much people ate in the USA.

I think its just different ways of life. I noticed in USA everyone drove everywhere! People would drive a mile up the road - its only a 30 minute walk!!!!

Simple! Our food is better than yours. In all seriousness, there are overweight people in every country in the world, it just isn't an American problem, you are stereotyping people. I am an American and I am not fat, I do have curves though, women are supposed to you know?

Our country is much younger and we are lazy, lazy, lazy as a culture. Video games are frying the minds of the young. No more outside play. The country is going to hell quickly.
