I know he's trying to be sweet, and I appreciate the gesture, but I've told him more than once that I prefer to eat healthy (I like chocolate, but I seldom crave it and certainly don't want to eat it every day or even every other day). What should I do to get the message across without being mean?

First ill start off with how much i wish my boyfriend did that but I can understand the health side of it as well. Just tell him how much u appreciate the gesture but that chocolate isnt the way to show it anymore. Maybe suggest a new way he can show it like buying you flowers or even just hugging you more.

tell him, but with out hurting his feelings. Or just try to tell him that the doctor doesn't let. ( try not to lie )

tell him. ask him to pick you up something else that you want, or mention it. and when he does, go nuts about how happy you are you got it. its positive reinforcement. youll train him good.
