I have a little more patience for ADD or ADHD kids than I do others, but when I see one slap at ther mother or cuss at her, I get annoyed. That's not their disorder, that's a lazy parent..

No they do not and neither do those lazy parents have the excuse of allowing them to get away with been naughty either, too many kids are been diagnosed with this ADD or ADHD, I don't want to sound uncaring but honestly half of the kids today are so loaded with sugar they are hyper to the point of been monsters, take the sugary sweets away, feed them proper food with plenty of fruit and veg and I think those parents who use ADD as an excuse for their brat been a naughty monster will see a huge improvement in their child's behaviour big time, no need to hit them, just change their diet and be firm with them too.

Absolutely NOT. Both of my boys have it and have been on medication. This helped som but I found the best help to monitor what they eat, get to bed on time, limit their TV activities/computer/video games and try going to a counselor. It helped my oldest one trememdously. There is a national company called CHADD what can send you all kinds of information. My children are no longer on meds because they are learning to compenstate wtihout it. Good Luck

My grandson has this and sometimes that is what we think, but when he has his med, he is fine. But this is sad to have this because it causes him problems in school in concentrating and being still. sometimes at my house when it is wearing off I nearly go crazy and am constantly on his butt.

i think all that ADD crap is just that CRAP
we did not have that chit 10 + yrs ago and it did not matter
we all got jap slapped from our parents
most of this is just made up so ppl have an excuse to NOT HIT THEIR KIDS
i got me **** beat when i was growing up and i am not a mugger/killer/ bad person
it made me a respectable,productive person in society
