Ok my question is asking for a SPECIFIC place that someone might have been. Obviously any fish and chip shop etc will have but I was hoping someone might be able to tell me from personal experience. Thanks.

As you leave Wimbledon station ,look across the road slightly to your left and you'll see a pub called,I think, The George. Behind that pub is ,or was, the best chippy in London. With all the developments around there it may have disappeared but if it's still there you'll get the best chips (and fish) you'll have had for a long time.

You mean chips - in England we dont have french fries - these are an import. What you are referring to is the traditional chip (not to be confused with crisps - what USA call chip UK call a crisp) from a traditional Chip Shop, also referred to as Chippie, Chipper, Fish and Chip Shop. There are not as many now but they can still be found on most high streets up and down the UK. In the North of England they are fried in beef fat - delicious, but in London in normal frying oil. You've not had chips until you've had traditional UK fish and chips with malt vinegar and tomatoe ketchup and a generous sprinkle of salt. And our fat chip is said to be healthier than a french fry.

They're chips. French fries are cr*p.
You can get chips from any fish and chip shop, anywhere in the UK. Not just in London.

Wash a Potatoe well and slice it into 1/4" strips with the Skins on if you like them. if not peel them.. Put them on a Lined Cookie Sheet and Sprinkle with your favorite Sensoning, and Bake for 15 minutes. Turn the ove and continue to Bake until they are Golden Brown or whatever texture you like them to be. (crispy or wharever). BAKE AT 425 degrees. Yum Yum.

No, they at the instant are not. ^^ in the event that they have been i does not be waiting to purchase them at shops, and no eating place / quickly-nutrition joint might serve them. yet they do, so i don't think of so. :) in the event that they have been although, i might could desire to revolt. i admire my french fries. ;_; (((Hugs!)))
