check pennysaver if you have it, or craigslist is great. You usually don't spend more than $100.00. Sometimes the Pennysaver has couches listed once in a while in the free page..Usually because someone died on it...but hell, you can't beat free can ya!!! I suggest spending coutless nights peering into the windows of rich families and walk away with a new (well, new to YOU) sofa! who knows, maybe there are a few coins in the cushins : )

Have you tried Goodwill, or other charity store? There are also second hand store, check you phone book for the information.
Also, some furniture stores have slightly defective, returned, or never picked up furniture for a lot less money. You can get some amazing deals! Besides, it isn't used, so no worries about bugs and stuff.
Good luck!

Yes, check in your Local newspaper under the Ad section. Alot of times, people are moving and will sell cheaply. Also you can check at the Salvation Army or Goodwill stores.

If you have a used furniture store, like Goodwill or Salvation Army, try there. Also, try Ikea, a furniture retailer that specializes in budget furniture items.

You can try flea markets or consignment shops. Also, IKEA has an as is dept. where they have stuff pretty cheap. Nothing is wrong with them...most of them were floor models.
