THEY DO HAVE THE DEPO SHOT OR THE PACH OR A PILL YOU TAKE ONCE. ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THEM.

Am not sure about the patch because my niece is about to give birth any day now. Am not sure about the shot because a gentlemen was on yahoo a couple of days ago saying that his wife might be pregnant despite getting the shot in December. The pill is obviously not the answer for your daughter unless you can sit her down and figure out a time of day that she would remember - dinner hour.....or bedtime (the pills could be visible on her bedside table). No moral lectures from me - I told my daughter years ago when she was in a long term relationship to promise to come and tell me when she was ready to have sex so we could make a doctors appointment. She did.
So - alternative would be .... one of the above with condoms (which they should be using anyway) ?!

Way to go mom, sounds like you and your daughter have the relationship many here should envy. Does she have a routine in the AM, perhaps she could put the bottle next to her deodorant or something else she uses out of habit every AM, it could help her remember. Alot of people forget to take their medication sometimes if you are on something long enough you may even second guess yourself if you took it or not. Otherwise she could try other methods mentioned and would have even more protection if her boyfriend uses a condom, although many choose other forms of birth control over dislike of condoms.

There are various types of contraceptives available in the market. I guess the best option for your daughter is the patch which lasts for a month then replaced. Your daughter won't forget to change it because one needs to replace the patch when one's menstrating. Check with the Gynae for full details. However, patch costs a little more than pills. But if you consider the convenience, its worth paying a little more.

birth control is chance-free for teenaged women human beings. Ask your physician about Seasonique, or inspite of the 4 era a year pill is termed. yet, I qould examine to confirm how a lot you spend on female products and how a lot your assurance might want to cover because it may defeat the purpose. some pills are extra extreme priced and the assurance will purely cover a particular quantity. sturdy luck expensive.

For god's sake, dont put her on depo, that thing really doesnt work. They have some implants now, and theirs the Nuva ring (or something like that) Ask her doctor about less frequently administered birth control, there's a ton out there. But not depo, I've heard of many people who have gotten pregnant while on it.

Teenage girls are very fertile and the chances that one contraception will be 100% fool proof, is unlikely. All the products never claim full protection, the only way to avoid pregnancy is abstinence. To lessen the chances, they both have to be willing to use protection at all times, again it's not foolproof.
Perhaps, the moral answers are not wanted but by avoiding the obvious, you're all just playing Russian Roulette. They have to be aware of the consequences of their actions, nobody should enter this action lightly, accidents do happen. It just depends on what your all willing to live with, when it does happen.

I think it is wonderful that you have this relationship with your daughter. Also, it highlights one of my main arguments about teenagers and sex - they're kids! And if they have sex, they are liable to make even more mistakes than adults will.
I was on the depo - but it doesn't suit everyone. You should encourage your daughter to use condoms anyway, not only as a method of birth control, but also as a form of preventing sexually transmitted diseases. Her boyfriend now might be clean, but in the years to come, who can tell.

Talk to the dr about the depo shot, it lasts 3 months
I think she is very mature. Yes we all want to think our kids arent having sex, but they will........ They have been together a good while, and used good judgement, bless her heart. Some may say she needs to wait for marriage but honestly who does that anymore.
The patch was linked to some problems talk to the dr.
The pill and shot can be affected if she uses antibotics,,, just keep this in mind.

how about the nuva ring...my sister in law has one and she loves it...it is inserted into the vagina and it encircles the cervix...she replaces it the first day of every month...AND it doesn't have a bad taste (per her hubby) and no one notices it during whoopie. She also has no trouble with tampons while it is inserted either.
good luck...sounds like you have a great mother-daughter relationship!

You can get the injection which lasts longer, and so as long as you keep going to the doctors for it you should be fine. I keep forgetting to take it so might choose to take this path
