I know a couple of people who are classified as "slow" and they used to work in the mailroom of my old job. They were actually very frustrated by not being able to keep up with "normal" people intellectually. They knew they were different. I think the ony people who are happier to be less intelligent are those who are profoundly so. Then they have no idea at all what is going on.

I work with children that have disabilities and not that they are dumb, but they don't know about troubles and therefore are not bothered by anything in the world , and yes they are so happy, just me talking to them and laughing. They don't seem to have a care in the world. I think those of us that do understand are the ones who are really suffering.

Sometimes I feel like intelligence is a curse, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't trade it for stupidity. With intelligence has come wisdom, and it has allowed me to appreciate the beautiful things in life in contrast to the cruel things, and has given me power to combat the worst of what has come my way. Great question.

You would be happier if you knew what goes on in the world and were able to make sense out of all of it. I envy the very few ones who can or could.

yeah I think I would be happier, I don't know if you have to be dumb. I'd love to be naive enough to believe that all humans are good and honest.

Maybe. Ignorance is Bliss? I would think ignorance would just put me in the way of some intelligent wisenheimer who would use me. So no, I am happier the way I am and you are too.
