Whenever she doesn't have her pacifier in her mouth, she's grinding her teeth together, and it drives me crazy. I don't want her to have a pacifier in her mouth all day either, but is this normal?

Babies and even toddlers around that age generally are teething and will grind their teeth on anything. Though it seems painful there's nothing odd about it. They are teething and since they are their baby teeth then you don't have to worry about permanent damage although a pacifier in their mouth can cause their teeth to come in odd ways and possibly cause an overbite.

My daughter is 1, and when she was around 8-9 months she ground her teeth for what seemed like ALL DAY. She wasn't getting a tooth through either, but all of a sudden she stopped doing it. It must have been sudden because we didn't even notice she'd stopped!
The pacifier made NO difference whatsoever....
She has the pacifier now but the grinding has stopped... Babies eh?

I say the pacifier is better than the teeth grinding. And I'm sure it's normal, baby is just checking out her new pearly whites.

Yep, my little one did that too. It's a phase and it'll pass. I know it's annoying too! The teeth are new to her and she's just wondering and exploring to see what these things can do! I would try and distract her when she does this. She's still quite young and you can still give her pacifier as much as needed. It will not affect her teeth just yet!

Best of luck and I hope this passes quickly!

7 years ago I've been involved in a car wreck and even since suffered with severe on and off facial and jaw pain. I've tried almost everything western medicine had to offer and had visited countless of specialist, had done ct scans, and therapies but to no avail. The doctors I have been to had persisted that there wasn't anything wrong with me and that almost drove me crazy as I was going through hell from this condition. According to all my symptoms I was diagnosed by a holistic doctor as having TMJ and he had recommended this book to me. After following the recommendation in the book for several weeks, it had changed my life. I got immediate relief after following the unique set of exercises in the book and after 2 weeks the jaw and face pain had completely gone. I only wish I would have ordered this program years ago. It would have saved me a lot of pain and anguish.

She's just "cutting" more teeth--guess u just have to tolerate it and maybe ask her dr. if something can be prescribed to alleviate the pain that comes with new teeth coming in. Won't be long she'll be biting ya, LOL

It is ok, it means they are teething some more, but u might want to let her have the passifier, but not for too long, or her teeth will grow in crooked and she will need braces later on.

It's normal and it will go away. It's just something new to them that they can do.
