Did as a kid, but someone could have changed things without my knowing in the last twenty years. When I was young(er) they were very popular. I had a yellow nerf one I recall that didn't work very well, then I had a wooden one with three extensions and a small bend in the middle that worked almost too well and I would flee in terror until it eventually broke of it's own forces on the grass.
