You would need to check the conditions and small print in your home insurance. Unlikely to be covered - you would normally need to take out separate insurance/service cover with either the boiler supplier or gas supplier.

are you sure it needs replacing? if only one person has told you, get a second opinion from someone else. A boiler is designed to last a long time. Some parts of a boiler can be fixed or changed without replacing the whole boiler.

You could check with the manufacturer how long they expect their boilers to last.

Th answer is no, however any damage to your home that was caused by the boiler malfunction, e.g. water damage, is covered. You can write the boiler replacement of on your taxes as capital improvement, consult your C.P.A

No. some insurance company's have this kind of insurance but Home owners will not cover it.

2) you should have 3 star cover with British Gas, that does!!

Nope. Homeowner's Insurance is for perils and damages, not repairs.

no, but you could write it off of your tax's ( if your in the states) as a home improvement
