Angio-blood vessels
Necrosis - death

So I would imagine that it's the death of the cells in the blood vessels.

I honestly never knew such a thing existed.

I'm in a healthcare program--and I find that this site: http://cancerweb.ncl.ac.uk/omd/
is good for defining stuff on my level, but I don't know if it would be helpful to you as a med student.

If all else fails, split them into the roots and define those (like I have.)

Angio- is a greek word which refers to the blood vessels or vasculature; necrosis is a situation where cells are dying from injury or disease. Try WebMD for a more precise definition.
