Spank him and tell him NO next time. If you don't correct him he will keep doing it because he knows he can get away with it. But if he's just a little newborn puppy then well that's a little different.

no...just say NO to let him know not to do it again, but if you say NO like 20 minutes after the incident the dog won't know what you're scolding him about!
