Need advice on most suitable movies player and DVD burner software ( pls read the dtails)?

Hello Everybody, its me again.

I have noticed that there are tons of torrent sites from which I am able to down load movies.

I want to down load movies, view them on my PC and burn in DVD format to be able to watch then on my DVD player.

I need your help on the following :
1. Which file formats to select. To avoid downloading the ones that don't work.
2. What is the most suitable Movie Viewer software to use
3. What is the most suitable Movie to DVD burner sofware

By "suitable" I mean that ones that support many formats and are user friendly and free or cheap.

4. I have a Notebook with Windows XP Professional, 2GB Ram and 60 GB HDD and 320 GB UDB. I am connected to the internet on a DSL 512Kb line through DSL Modem and Linksys Router. Do I need anything else ?

There are a few programs that you will want.
You can get them from the torrent site as well I recommend www.torrentz.com a very good torrent search engine.

Nero: use it for watching movies on your computer, or burning DVD files VOB's to a DVD.
Adobe Power Producer: use it to convert AVI files to DVD format and burn to DVD.
I have found issue converting with Nero sound track get out of sync with video occasionally.
I like Nero because it is easier to use, I like adobe because the end result is better.
If you want the best quality download the 4.3Gb version of the movie and burn directly to DVD with Nero.
If you run out of space get the avi versions.
Avoid the rar's quite often you send a lot of time downloading them and you end up needing a password to uncompress it.

Your system seems very good so you might get away with just using Nero it might handle the conversion better than mine.
