Please do not give your little one juice just yet she is too young and her body cannot digest it properly. I do not wish for her to have more problems. I you are giving her formula, she might have a problem with the iron in it. Try another kind with less iron. Try giving her a baby massage using a little bit of baby lotion, gently rub her tummy. If you have a little chair that vibrates sometimes that helped my little one when she couldn't go.

I would also talk to your Dr. if she continues to have problems.

Best of luck!

Most would be shocked at the suggestion, but it really works. Karo light corn syrup. Yep. Put a teaspoonful or two in a 4 - 6 oz. bottle of water and warm. do this regularly every other day or so and things move much easier!

You can get a baby laxative at walgreens or walmart. You can also try a little prune juice from Gerber. Also check with your doctor before giving the baby anything. I called the docs office for anything just to be sure.

Go to the pediatrician just to make sure there is nothing wrong with her bottom. My son did have a problem and he had to have surgery to correct it. I'm not trying to scare you. A lot of people are unaware of this condition (it is called anal stenosis). I had never heard of it until my son was diagnosed. Anyway, call the doc just to make sure! Good luck!

How many months is she? If she is over a month old you can give babies 1 ounce of apple juice for every month of life. Pediatricians recommend apple juice, and you don't have to water it down.

give her a bottle of watered down prune juice with each meal until her stool softens. The water will hydrate and the juice will loosen things.
