Please do NOT spray hairspray in your face. You only use hairspray in your hair, and sometimes on you eyebrow brush for the out-of-place hair. Use loose powder to set your makeup. It is what a professional would recommend. Bobbi Brown and Sonia Karshuk both recommend doing that. A light layer will make your makeup last all day.

Actually, i think thats an urban myth.
The best trick is to apply some lotion to your face directly before you apply make-up. give it a minute tops to dry, put your make up on and it will stay on longer.
This works best for eye makeup and you dont have to spray yourself in the face with toxins.

arent hairspray meant to be sprayed on your hair and away from your face? better dont try this, you may end up with rashes or some other skin problems.
to let your make up stay on longer, use a finishing powder. after you're done with your make up, pat on finishing loose powder in a spiral motion and press on a little harder on your t-zone where excess sebum tends to make your make up wears off more easily.

yuck! try The Vitamin E facial mist spray from The Body Shop. It is a light moisturizer, but also sets your makeup, plus it can be used to spray your makeup brushes before use to help your makeup go on.

Please DO NOT use hairspray to set your makeup.....you will end up in the hospital or something....you shield your face FROM hairspray. It's Evian water lightly misted on your face that will help makeup stay.
As for lipstick, you put one layer on, they blot it with face powder (not a lot but just enough to set it) and then put another layer of lipcolor on.

I never heard of this. I would think that hairspray would damage or make your face stiff.

Hairspray does make it stay as I actual have used it in exams till now.this is not sumthing for known,as hairspray replaced into not made for the face.i might spray it from far-off onto the face or spray it interior the air and enable it fal onto the face. To make make up final you decide on a sturdy powder, this gadgets the start and makes it final longer.

To be honest, I've never heard of anyone doing this. I don't know, but I don't think that hairspray can be doing your skin any good whatsoever.
I suggest you don't even go there. 0_o'''

no no no this doesn't work. spray water on your face but do it before you do your eyemake up or it might smudge.
spraying COLD water on your face closes your pores which is what makes your foundation stay.
good luck to you =]
