Do you think Simon Cowell is right and depressed stars are just being indulgent? Do you think they need to go take a look at the third world and see how good their own situation really is?

Personally I'm not too sure, on the one hand I totally agree that some are so pampered they get depressed out of sheer boredom but on the other hand I know how bad depression can get and how unreasonable your mind can become beyond your own control.

What have they got to be depressed about?????? they need to get into the real world. If coping with fame is all they have to worry about, then god help them.

I do feel genuinely sorry for some of them, like Britney. I mean 2 kids, broken marriage, constant press scrutiny - I think it would drive anyone a bit mad. I think people are too quick to associate money with happiness, it is obviously not an automatic link.

They obviously won't be depressed or stressed about the same things as us "normal people" (ie money worries, job security etc), but they will have other issues that we will find hard to comprehend.

If they were just left alone for a bit they would probably chill out more. I mean, at the end of the day Britney for example became famous for her music, but she hasn't released a single for ages now - the focus is no longer on what she 'signed up for' and is now in every single part of her personal life - that's just not fair.

i think if they grow up with fame they generally turn out to be depressed and in the priory, take brittany for instance, i was well shocked but it happens to everyone who is famous at a young age.

Of course stars can get depressed but more often then not it is their own fault. It is hard to sympathise with millionaires who have great lives.

I agree to the first part of the question. It must also be nice to go shopping without having to ask how much something costs!!!
