i say smart hands down. that is why i read like crazy and will be in college for the next 6 years as i just started pre law.

I agree with you. It is better to be smart. The pretty ones will all grow old one day and beauty fades. On some women, it collapses! I would much rather be an accomplished lawyer than a desperate woman searching for ways to stay young when there are none. We all grow old but we are not all lawyers. However, we will all probably need a good lawyer at some point! You are wise.

Everybody is different and people can use their looks/intelligence the way they want. So if u were blessed with beauty u may succeed being a model while if you are smart you could go to uni and be a lawyer. And yet a pretty girl can still be smart and go to uni as well and some people may not be pretty or smart and they are still happy within themselves. But there is no real answer to this question because everyone has their own opinions.

Smart, your looks aren't going to get you into college (even if you copy from the smart little nerd next to you.) Yes, it is nice to have some looks, but to me brains are important. You can't really get a college diploma with looks (ok maybe if you slept with all your professors), but us teens are the generation of tomorrow and really are kinda stupid compared to the kids in China. And us teens will have to compete with them when it comes to getting a job.

I don't know. I think if you are gorgeous but as thick as two short planks, the novelty will soon wear off when the guy finds he can't have a fluid conversation with her

It's better to be smart like everyone has been posting. But just as long as she isn't too fugly. That old saying that beauty is only skin deep is a bunch of hog-wash if you ask me.

I think it's important to be smart, but have a sense of self beauty.
I hope I can raise 2 smart young ladies that are confident in their looks as well, but that is becoming increasingly harder to do in today's society.

I wouldn't know; I'm not pretty and I'm not smart. The whole world will blame me for making Tobey Maguire discontinue with the sexy SPIDER-MAN film franchise, not to mention yelling and laughing at me; an ugly, stupid, weird African-American woman who is two years older than Tobey Maguire who caused and made nothing but trouble for him, his friends, his family, and his daughter.
