Do you want something funny? Try The Walrus and the Carpenter by Lewis Carroll (from Alice in Wonderland)

or

You Are Old Father William also from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

But if you want pure escapism, in a novel, try "Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean Auel. guaranteed to keep you interested and help you forget whatever you're going through. Also the sequel "The Valley of Horses". There are three other sequels as well.

Sorry you're going through a tough time.
