From what I have read, magnetic disturbances, localised to the trinagle, play havoc with navigation that relies on compas. The training flight, 5 x Avenger bombers, that disapeared in the 40s was discovered on the bottom of the ocean a few years back, compass failure is probable.

Also, strong waves caused by the local underwater geography may be enough to sink ships very quickly.

There is a similar triangle off of the coast of Sweden, as I understand.

However, no definate answers as yet, although UFOs, black holes and time/space anomolies should be ruled out.

In the Bermuda Triangle, methane gas is known to be present and the release of that gas causes not only boats to sink, but also aeroplanes to crash. The gas could cause an explosion if it came in contact with the hot engine of a plane. The objects are sunk by a huge gas bubble. The possibly lethal gas bubbles are created by underwater deposits of methane that have built up over thousands of years.

The story of the Bermuda Triangle is a steaming heap of male bovine excreta. The reason was to sell books and make "documentaries" to sell to TV stations which will put anything on the air to fill their broadcast time. That's it. End of story.

There are many theories, but no definite answers. One of the theories is that periodically an eddy current starts and pulls the ships down much like a giant drain. There are many other theories which involve aliens and the supernatural which don't seem too likely. There is no real definate answer.

Nice...no one knows for sure. It's like a black hole in the middle of the ocean that sucks up everything that goes near it. I don't know why as well.ü Sorry. All i know is that scientists have been researching about that for years and once, they tried sending a transmitter in, but they lost signal.

I thought the scientific explanation was gas coming up and making ships sink because the buoyancy of the water lessens too much if it is lots of gas instead of water... but I believe this is only part of the explanation... I forgot the rest...
