My portable cd player, which used to work just fine, won't play cd's anymore and it give me the error message nF Disc. Does anyone know what that means and how I can fix it? It is a Philips cd player.

I'm not sure what nF disc means, but do you have fresh batteries in it? Is it just one disc or all, and have you dropped it lately? If the batteries are good and it hasn't been dropped, and it won't play any disc's, then it may need to be replaced. If it's just one disc, you might try burning the music to another brand of disc, if the brand is different than what you normally use. It almost sounds like a format problem.

nF means non functional disc and it may be due to damage on the top half of the player or becuase you dropped it. If it also has a tape try that becuase if that works it has something to do with the cd u are playing not the player itself.
