My feeling is that we will cruise through the preliminary stages but may struggle against teams in the super 8. Will not be as easy as last time where we reached the finals due to right persons in the right spots the only changes to last years WC finalist squad playing eleven would have been Dhoni in place of Dinesh Mongia and Munaf in place of the now retired Srinath.
No need to have dropped Mohammed Kaif. Dinesh Karthick is being unnecessarly promoted due to some regional intrest and he is never going to be as good as the mentally tough Mohammed Kaif.
We are hoping to go all crash bang bang and if the pitch is a bit on the slower side God help us. No matches were lost en route to the finals last time except to the eventual champions Australia. Now with Master Vengsarkar in charge of the selection committee lets see them better that with this team.
Ranatunga and Azhar feels that we can go through to the finals and maybe even win the cup. All my prayers and wishes with team India.
