Sure dogs are living beings.... but they are a menace in the neighbourhood.
But shooting them is not a practical solution.. as some animal right organisation will file a petition and stop it....

Better idea would be to give some animal rights organisation.. a piece of barren land.... and money to look after these dogs...and they should be asked to control dogs population....

After all if human beings are asked to control thier population..
i think we will have a better life after this...these animal right organisation should see that even dogs population is also controlled...

Well a baby is more important to me than a "poor stray dog" that takes a bite. Yes they are living beings too. This problem can be sorted easily when all stray dog lovers come forward to adopt them and bring them up in their own homes. :)

Pets are not to be left to go stray.... Stray dogs not to bite the innocent people (It can bite a thief or dacoit)... If mad dogs become a danger to the life of children and society... they got to be killed. Lesson is to be taught not to the people who kill stray dogs. Lessons are to be given to the people who keep their pets without responsibilities. Think about your child and neighbour's dog!.

Each year, 8 to 12 million animals are euthanized in shelters across America or 1 pet every 4 seconds. I don't think the U.S. has the right to criticize anybody else.

Well a long time ago now over here...A baby was supposed to have been taken by a Dingo..(wild dog)..at Ayres Rock....Noone here went out shooting Dingo's because of the accusations !!....
What they did do, however was immediately blame the parents..
I wont go into the rest of this story, I will just say, that the dogs were not held accountable here, so why anywhere else......

It is sad indeed. Hwever the stray dog population has gotten out of control. If the dogs get rabies then it is a very bad situation.

this is a classic case of mob mantality, one man thinks up of what "seems" like a good idea at the time and then everyone around him agrees with it since they are all worked-up. the only thing that we can do is just wait them out until their senses return to them

why dont they shoot themselves to avoid being bitten. if dogs could speak you could hear them cry. they have a life too.
