Mugabe took everyone's liberty when he abolished private property. Before he came along, the market system worked well and Zimbabwe actually exported food.

Now they are starving. He says that he gave the land back to blacks, but he actually only gave the land to political cronies, who are black.

We would do well to learn from this. When we talk about price controls, minimum wage, socialized medicine, et al, we are talking about making the same error in judgment. It may all SOUND good...
