The only advantage that ipod has over zen vision m is itunes and its thinner..... NOW the advantages zen has over ipod. 1) Zen vision m has a brighter better picture than ipod. 2) It has a built in FM radio (ipod not). 3) you can record directly from the FM radio (ipod not). 4)It has line in recording so you can record from CD players,tape players turntables, cable TV and you don't have to be hood up to the PC to do this.(ipod not). 5) it can record voice memo's with it's built in mic (ipod not). 6)The zen vision m cost $50.00 less than ipod. ..Other than that?

well i only have the 30gb i-pod and not even looked into the creative zen vision:M.. but i think that a good advantage is that you can get good aftermarket assesories that don't cost the earth and are easy to find. I enjoy the simplisity of the i-pod. The thing that i don't like is that i need to turn on my computer to charge it or remember to put it into the computer when i'm on the computer
