I have a portable hard drive that we download tv shows. Is their anyway you can connect it to a tv and watch what you recorded on a tv?

The media that a computer stores on a hard drive is not accessible to the tv DIRECTLY through the hard drive.

You can use your s-video conenction (the round one) on the back of your computer to connect to your tv, but only if you have a s-video output (any decent pci-e or agp video card would have an s-video output.)
here is what the s-video output looks like

basically this would display your computer screen on your tv.

Or you could burn a DVD
In order to do this you need
-a dvd player for your tv
-Some dvd buring software like Nero 7
-Blank DVD+R
-A dvd burner for your computer

very difficult, (a very brief description of what is needed) you need the hardware (circutry) to access the drive, the program to read the files & convert it to watchable video, & the output interface to the tv, easier to watch them on the pc
