I honestly don't see the problem. Obviously they won't solve all your problems, but if you can pull off something that will let you fit into clothes better, give you more confidence, etc, why not? Why should only girls with natural breasts benefit from their figure when you can have it done relatively safely and cheaply?

I agree with you. If the woman feels more confident, comfortable and attractive this way why not?

The same thing why people like to make fun of others for plastic surgery... it's fake and authenticity is always valued above something that is not. If you have to choose between a natural beautiful woman or a woman that is beautiful in that plastic way(can't think of any celebrities at the moment), most likely you would chose the natural one.

Also, the breasts are considered to be one of the most vital parts of a woman's body, it's a symbol of womanhood like what the penis is to men. So to put a bags of silicone in it is disturbing.

Plastic surgery will always be a stigma in a society because to cut yourself up when you are perfectly healthy...if some other being were to know about this it would be puzzled

The only 2 problems I have with them are when they are so big it's pornographic, and the fact that most look fake. It is the only plastic surgery that people get where they accept it looking fake. No one wants a nose that looks like it's had surgery, or an obvious facelift but fake boobs always look fake and women are fine with it...way too perky and round instead of teardrop. I understand some women wanting a larger chest, but most natural breasts look better than about to explode melons. Why can't they be made to look more natural?

1) Breast implants are dangerous. Many women suffered complications including scarring, infection, and death from the older silicon versions. The newer ones have not been tested adequately.

2) Breast implants frequently lead to reduced sensation of the nipple. Therefore, to make a part of the body LOOK more erotic, the SENSATION of eroticism is reduced. The visual pleasure of the man is thus more important than the tactile pleasure of the woman.

3) Breast implants frequently lead to an inability to breast feed a baby.

4) Dude, they LOOK nasty. Fake. I think natural breasts, no matter what size, are simply more attractive.

5) Many adolescents (both male and female) get their idea of an appropriate female body from actresses/models who have been enhanced. Therefore, the females tend to suffer from low self-esteem and the males tend to suffer from unrealistic expectations.

I don't see a "problem" with them. It's a free country, and if people want to blow their dough on phony boobs ( I knew one guy that had his wife re-jugged as an anniversary present. Seemed to me like buying your wife a chainsaw for Christmas, or some other thing that you want for yourself but buy for her).

I just don't happen to like them. Small breasts are cute, hold up better over the years, and well, they just don't look out of place like the phonies. There's something - pattern recognition or whatever you choose to call it - that makes it obvious to me when a woman has been artifically augmented, and I don't find it attractive at all.

My second wife had cute little boobs, but for some reason was self-concious about them, and she once asked me if I would like for her to have a boob job. I was touched by the sentiment (and her willingness to go through a dangerous and painful procedure just to please me) but also sort of simultaneously appalled that she'd ask. Hard to explain. I told her hell no. The ones she had looked right on her, and fake ones wouldn't have. They never do.

And I agree with wierdnez on this. Making people unhappy with their bodies is capitalism of the worst sort, and it's rampant in this country. Not just the fake boob industry, either. Trying to make men feel like slobs if they don't have "ripped" abs, women feel like they are slobs if they anything like a normal percentge of body fat, that they have to shave and wax and laser and electrolosize everything in sight to be presentable. etc., etc.

I like them just fine the way they were made. The people who profit from making people feel there is something wrong with that seem intent on creating a sort of Ken and Barbie egalitarianism that I find particularly repugnant - and boring. I find Pam Anderson about as attractive as a rubber tub toy.

I love the natural beauty of a woman. If there is a moment that the breasts will be pulled by gravity then so be it.I would much rather caress real breasts than caress implants.

I have a problem with breast implants. Instead of teaching women to be happy about their body and comfortable with what they have, breast implants teach us to dislike our bodies. This is your body, your physical/mental/spiritual well being. How can you morally throw out something that's a piece of you in favor of what's more commonly accepted by society? Now I understand that in some cases it may be necessary but most cases it's not. We have to teach our daughters that who they are is a good thing because in the end it is, that's all they have; themselves. Besides, who knows what beauty is. So long and short, I have a problem with the rejection of the natural form in favor of a fake one. How can you be confident with fake breasts? They aren't even yours! Also, there are alot of health risks they don't tell you about. I'm not sure about all of them and dont have the time to research right now but try looking it up in wikipedia.org.

Using the argument that increasing your breast size with implants makes you more "fake", you could conversely say that having breast reduction surgery also makes you fake because you are essentially changing your body's natural form. I hold that a woman should be able to make these kinds of decisions for herself without ridicule from society. If changing her physical appearance makes her feel more self-confident, she should go for it. ;)

I think it's more of a "problem" when women decide to go bigger than what they should be. That's what make them look fake. Not just the breasts, but the person. I'm not saying that this is true, but that is how it is perceived.

I think that only other women have a problem with them. I for one, couldn't care less how they got there, I'm just glad that they are. BTY I don't like large breasts, small and perky are much nicer. Just like I said (look at the answers) its not men that have a problem with it.
