LIFE – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.

I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.

You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.

The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us.

I believe that the system of mankind was created to gather information for the creator. He already has a lot of information (from the rest of the universe that He runs) so coming up with something new is not always easy. If you cant manage this don't worry because we are all part of a system which was designed to support one another. Hence you support others who come up with new information. Any new information/creation is useful so you could invent your own new knitting pattern. I believe most religions miss the point that the creator is still developing (and is therefore not all knowing or perfect). If He (or She) were not still learning then there would be no need for us or the suffering that occurs as an enevitable outcome from us being here.
You were not asked whether you wanted to participate in this, hence God is very sympathetic if you get fed up. Experience life, learn to Love but above all learn that you can speak to God and ask Him anything. If you are capable of understanding the answer it will come.
Have a good life.

It should be no surprise to anyone that love is at the center of the meaning of life. Why? Because in its purest form it implies a feeling of unselfish goodness towards other human beings. That is true in whatever form love takes whether it is between two lovers, a father and son, grandparents and grand kids or a religious person and his flock.

Emotional and biological factors may create the feeling of love. But the important aspect of this state of being is not the cause but its positive effect. The person who truly can love another gives of his or herself uncompromisingly and unselfishly.

The simple reality is that to find meaning in your own life you must be able to give of yourself to others. No man is an island. We do not go through life alone. Our birth is the result of being carried and cared for by another. Throughout our life we are molded by teachers, relatives and friends, and we often die in the care of others. A person who can truly sacrifice for another in the name of love has encountered the raw energy of the life force itself.

If you stop to think of it, life is a constant cycle of giving and receiving in emotional, spiritual and material terms. Love is one of the few elements that both provides and returns something of real and overriding benefit. That is true with the other actions we have described as necessary in finding meaning in your life as well.

Love gives meaning to our lives – as do friendship or art or faith in God. These are factors of true happiness, of inner peace, of feelings of harmony, allowing meaning to our existence.

But there is the other side. There is the cruelty of life, the pain, the evil, not to talk of death. They are the hidden tigers, ambushed and ready to attack the imprudent, to use an image present in the Holy Buddhist Scriptures.
And it is between these two pendulums - the positive, the one that gives happiness and meaning, and the negative - that our lives are lived. And when we meditate about all that, we arrive at a diverse and disagreeing set of thoughts about the meaning and purpose of life.

I do not know about the meaning of life, never mind the "true" meaning. If there is one it is far beyond our comprehension and will only be realised outside of our space/time continuum, when we look back at it and think "Why did I bother with such daft questions anyway, I will go and have a pint of Ambrosia. Another one please Gabriel"
