I've been having trouble sleeping and I've been browzing an herb store that has a night mask and they said that there's an herb packet in the night mask. What are the best herbs to get to help sleep?

lavender and chamomile are very good for helping you to relax why not try a nice warm bath with lavender oil or bubble bath with candles and a small glass of red wine, relax and feel the tensions leaving your body i usually read a book whilst in the bath but remember only one chapter you don't want the water going cold then after your bath go to bed with either a chamomile tea or a hot milky drink ( milk with a little sugar, cocoa, hot chocolate, ovaltine or horlicks are good) . make sure your room is dark and warm but not too hot and you could also try a relaxation CD on low in the background. Imagine lying on a warm beach with the warm waves lapping on to the shore feel the sun on your face etc. night night sweet dreams also try to stay off the fizzy drinks, coffee and tea in the evenings and only have a light supper

I've had a sleep problem for years. Prescription drugs work ok but I'm afraid of potential side effects, dependency etc. My daughter came up with the solution I believe EVERYBODY should know about. Melatonin and Valerian Root. Both are available at drug stores and Wal-Mart. Both are natural sleep aids, are totally natural and contain no drugs. I take 2 each of the pills about half an hour before bedtime and I fall asleep right away. Try one or the other at first to see what works for you. If necessary, you can adjust to come up with the combination that works best. One down side..The Valerian Root smells and tastes like sour milk or even dog poo, but the effect is well worth it. And you will get use to the smell and taste. Use a search engine and it will tell you exactly how these products work. Just type in the name of the product on your search engine.

Try Kali Phos 6X tablets (homeopathic / tissue remedy) about 4-6 tablets (mostly sugar but has the medicine in it), at night time, 15 minutes before you try to sleep. Non habit forming. No known side effects (generally safe). Try it.

I take Hops pills when I feel edgy or need to be relaxed for sleep. They work great and are under $10 at health food stores.

Marijuana would be best, but it's illegal. Valerian root works well for me.
