What is DRWatsonPostmortemDebugger?

My son was on the computer last night.
When I went on this AM I saw the DrW. crap. I just X'd out of everything. I haven't logged off or shut the computer off yet,. I want to know what DrW is and what it does. Is it bad? Is it a virus? If so, what do I do?
I have Norton.

I have that on my Pc too . This is from Microsoft already installed on your pc. Just x it all out . Nothing will happen to your PC . It is the PC doctor
