There are SO many inspirational people out there....I would need to have a park full of statues just so that I could make one of all the people that are an inspiration in this world!
HOWEVER....my husband is my inspiration, he was close to death just two years ago, when he was first diagnosed with Lupus. I was pregnant with our second child at the time, and the Dr's told me to prepared for the worst. Somehow he pulled himself back, and tells us everyday it was because of his family. He is ill, but carries on, and lives life to the full, he is a tower of strength, and inspires all those that meet him. I guess that statue would need to be in my own backyard though...because he is only famous to those that know him :-)

Nelson Mandela or Desmond Tutu both of them have dedicated their lives to peace, and both have proved that it is possible to forgive all manner of injustice and move on positively with your life, instead of being weighed down with hatred.
