I wouldn't exactly agree as now you can listen to radio via the net, I think like most media radio needs to adapt and find the niche.

TV has been around for 50+ years and Radio survived well as a mobile way of being entertained. The MP3 player and the Internet are far more of a threat to radio I believe

I really agree with this view,
With T.V and Internet no one sees the point of radio anymore.
Seeing as now you can listen to radio on the T.V and Internet.
I hate to think about radio being completely phased out in the future.

I have XM Satellite Radio and I can tell you that I will listen to it as much as I am on this thing. I see alot of people anymore that are trying to stay away from the Internet as a way of life. Radio allows me to work in the yard or garage while doing something that needs to be done. XM allows me to listen to just what kind of music I want when I want it, I can listen to the same station all the way to Los Angeles from where I live as well!

Not at all do I agree. The radio still has many avenues to consider for business, and as long as there are disastrous mother nature events or other disasters, radio is still the most effective way to get information out to victims and the loved ones.

I believe that radio is being threatened, but not because of television and internet. Instead, what is threatening it is the instant downloads of music and devices like the iPod, where you can listen to a selection of music of your choice, free of commercials and talk.

The exciting growth of the digital age is certainly reflected in television (HD) and Internet, however, in times of emergency a good ole crank radio can be relied on if the power is down.

I disagree. The Internet and television need to be 'watched' to be enjoyed and used, whereas the radio will always be used in cars, at work, etc... music, plays, etc on the radio are a way of life, and I can't see radio being totally wiped out.
That's my opinion!! :-)

I half remember hearing a report that radio listening was as high as ever.
I listen to a lot of radio on t'internet.
I can hear my home county BBC service from where I live.
Great.
Radio 7 is great too, all the old comedy shows on.
