One was....."Never feed them after midnight"
Surely if you feed them, it has to be after midnight?
Can anyone explain this?

Also, what about "Never expose them to bright light" - what happened to them?
"Never expose them to water"....what about moisture in the air.....

I loved the Gremlins when i was a kid.
1)Dont expose them to bright lights, 2) Do not get them wet, 3) Never feed them after midnight.
What a movie..............

one must not let the mogwai near bright light, especially sunlight, which can kill the mogwai; one must not get water on the mogwai; and, most importantly, one must never feed the creature after midnight
Feeding After Midnight: The Gremlin would form a cocoons and transform into a into gremlin-like monsters with dark green reptilian skin
Getting a Gremlin wet causes them to go into convulsions and instantly multiply, spawning five new mogwai in a process that appears painful to them. The new mogwai are much more aggressive than the one they spawn from.
Exposing them to light could be deadly. Gremlins hated light and if exsposed to sunlight it would kill them

Never let them camp with Michael Jackson no wait EAT AFTER MIDNIGHT. This movie caused there to be a new rating system it was the first pg-13 movie .
I saw it and there were little kids crying and terrified behind me.
they really made it like it was a cute little movie.

rule # 1 never feed them after midnight was because they would morf into gremlins
rule #2 keep them away from brighlight because it hurts them and direct sunlight would kill them
rule # 3 don't get them wet because they would multiply

FEED ... that;s like, Don't drink till after 5 pm ... it must be after 5 somewhere in the world ... CHEERS
Water ... closer to the liquid state ... so no sloppy kisses
Light ... It was a movie ... so no light that would disturb paying customers at the cimema

don't feed them after mid-night. - i.e after mid-night but before days break, this turns the mogwai into a gremlin!!!
don't expose them to bright lights. - this causes extreme pain and blinds them.
don't get them wet. - this makes them reproduce.

I always wondered that too! I presume it means dont feed them between midnight and dawn or something.
