Its NOT going down! It has risen VASTLY in the past few hundred+ years. I recently saw a news clip thats said for the first time in centuries that the life expectancy is going down, but thats due to stupid people who cant eat right.

Hmm... life expectancy has risen a lot! Back then, I've heard that almost half of all newborns died, and most people were lucky to make it to 40 years or so. I think technology had helped, but modern medicine has helped eliminate so many of the life-threatening diseases at the time, like Lepricy and the Black Plague.

Hope this helps! :)

I think life expectancy has decreased due to the fact that their are much too many chemicals used on plant food, milk, and other products just for the sake of profits, and rising productions for the businesses sakes not necessarily for the consumers. Plus too much focus on dissecting everything that we eat, and the air we breath, is like a mind over matter issue. When what you hear and your mind believes can kill you, more so than ignorance. An Ignorant person doesn't have it set in their brain that everything you eat now a days can cause cancer due to chemicals and what nots, so "MIND OVER MATTER", as opposed to a person who is constantly worrying about what is inside everything they eat. Worry alone can cause illness.
