Behaviour change program is set of rules or protocols to be observed by a particular group or class of individuals to improved their behaviour.
Stage One: Carry out an investigation to determine the cause of negative behavioural change. For instance, you may investigate the cause why youths of your neighbourhood love doing drugs and playing basketball alot.
Stage Two:
Carry a feasibility to determine the financial, technical and social requirements for the exercise.
Stage Three:
Draw a work-plan and try as possible to involve the affected group as much as possible in your discussions.
Stage Four:
Always encourage the affected class as they respond slowly and understand that the best decision are made in difficult times.

Some children are only paid attention to when they are doing the wrong thing, therefore they continue to do the wrong thing. My first step would be to look for the good things the child is doing and praise them when they are playing sensibly, sharing and generally doing the right thing. The next thing I would do is set clear and fair rules and boundaries. When a child breaks a rule, they are told to stop/given a better option/distracted and a clear warning on what will happen if they break the rule again. If they break the rule again you must be CONSISTENT! Do what you said you would do if they broke the rule, no second chances and don't give in to tantrums, tears or violence! Send them to a corner, a quiet room, a chair etc and tell them how long you expect them to stay there for quiet/thought time. If they get up you put them back, and you continue to do so until they get the message, should they remain there for the period of time then you can say "now we can talk..". If you need to take away things/toys etc that can work too if they are messy, not sharing etc. Always tell them what will happen, give an alternative to the negative behaviour and be consistent!! If you see behaviour is just starting to flare up, take action early and distract the child by referring to other things like on a shopping trip, get them to help you etc. And remember to look for all those little things they do well and praise, praise, praise! Hope this helps.
