I think sterilisation is an overdue solution to third world poverty. If just a fraction of foreign aid money went toward vasectomy procedures for men then maybe they would stop having children they can't feed. Rather than giving out school uniforms & bibles how about some contraception advice? What is the point of trying to save people from poverty when they just make the problem bigger every day?

All of the comments are really quite good and though there are other concerns in poverty strickened countries, I agree with you that birth control probably should be top of the list. I believe water and food are first and foremost, as is education but in between those should be a concern for controlling the birth rate. Even in our own country, we give away the birth control pills, educate the women and give free condoms to the men (who won't wear them), but still, unwanted births seem to always be happening. It would be great to sterilize those men but educating the women seem to be more important. Just as it started here in the early 1900s when one woman (I forget her name) thought it was necessary for women to be educated about birth control instead of having babies year after year. Once these women were taught that they do NOT have to be a birthing machine, they became wise and did something about it. Somehow, in our own country, we've taken a few steps backwards because far too many women are having babies without fathers and not able to raise them adequately (financially, that is). Perhaps education is key in providing insight into that birth control.

Your suggestions are thin veiled.Who told you there is will to do it.You will first of all talk of education which is a vital tool in development.Any country with sound educational background will bankroll good economic base which will make people busy and they will have little time to father children which they can not care for.Poverty has brought all this problem in Africa and other third world countries. This poverty has been brought about by developed countries who give out aid and grants which does not help the people intended for that purpose. They have given out money only for their people to follow that money and siphon it back to their countries. The result of this has been to leave poor man in those countries to repay the money which never benefited them. The developed countries have made sure developing countries will never raise their heads by constantly raising their interest rates and controlling the value of their currencies.Problem of Africa and other third world countries is brought about by developed countries. They are not merceful and third world country problem is brought by them.Who will save them?God knows.Birth control pills, vasectomy, whatever your suggestions is,is not going to help Third world countries without improving their education and economic standards. You can lobby them for Africa and the rest.

Actually, that's a good idea, but there are also so many things in starving countries that could be fixed. Most of them were colonized and developed an underclass to their colonizers, who then left them undereducated and underfunded. Birth control should be made readily available, but so should clean drinking water, medicine, etc. I blame alot on those countries who stripped others of their wealth, families, and health, and then simply walked out.

i do no longer think delivery administration is a sin, till you talk abortion to be "delivery administration". this is yet another rely. scuffling with the formation of a clean existence is one difficulty. Killing one after it starts is diverse. yet, there's a severe flaw on your good judgment. think i exploit delivery administration or think i do no longer. What result might that have on international starvation? in certainty, whether I genuinely have extra babies or no longer, international starvation isn't affected till I take the money i might have used to advance a baby and as a exchange deliver it to a company that feeds the babies, and extra importantly trains human beings in those components to offer for themselves so as that they might under no circumstances might desire to be hungry back. (provide a guy a fish and he eats for an afternoon. prepare a guy the thank you to FISH and he does not might desire to ever be hungry back.) Even then, that doesn't have the wanted result! in certainty, there is numerous food to have the means to feed everybody on earth! relatively, many American farmers are paid subsidies to no longer plant specific flora. the U. S. on my own could produce adequate food to feed the international! the difficulty is, lots of the hungry are in that situation because of the fact of wars, criminals, corrupt governments, and different components. some are hungry because of the fact their mothers and fathers are deadbeats, alcoholics, lazy, or produce different issues. whether or no longer I genuinely have extra babies won't exchange those components! relatively, if human beings like me have extra babies and we prepare them to go out and help others, then they, alongside with others, could could preserve the social issues that forestalls the food and education from attending to the places it particularly is mandatory!

the girl above me took the words out of my mouth (iriegirl).
But unfortunately, many people living in powerful nations don't see this. They think citizens from extremely poor countries are that way because they're stupid or evil.
