You will not die if you move to Miami. Every major city has crime, and I've never had a problem.
The weather is terrific all year with the exception of hurricane season. That's a little stressful.
The air smells good, the trees are always green, there are plenty of things to do, and places to go. The food is awesome and the beaches are beautiful. The sun sets an hour later here in the winter, than up north.
My neighborhood has parrots, peacocks, fox, racoons, but thank God...no gators...but some aren't so lucky.
There is a serious traffic problem, the drivers are nutty, and the people are not very friendly. The rents are getting high, and the prices of homes are ridiculous. English is a second language, but you can live without ever learning Spanish.
I can't see myself living anywhere else.

Well, Miami is a city to hate and love. But don't EVER go to Fort Lauderdale! Fort Lauderdale is a big SUBURBAN city with little diversity and with little to do comparing with Miami. Additionally, Fort Lauderdale is full of rude, ignorant people (shares the resemblance with rednecks) that makes the people in Miami look like cosmopolitan angels!

I have been there a couple of times. I'm not sure I would like to live there. Ok if you have money like Barry Gibb I suppose. But downtown wasn't very nice. But I suppose it's like all cities. Wasn't even impressed with the beach. Liked Florida in general though. Especially Fort Myers.

Don't listen to the negatives, they are all talking tommyrot. Miami isclean, safe, ordered, prosperous, international, easy-going and friendly. The organisation is very good, for the most part of the year the climate is fine, and it has lots going on to keep people occupied. The only down side I guess is the humid summer, but you get used to it, and get round it with air conditioning.

I love it here. There is DIVERSITY! So many people from different walks of life. Beautiful people, and beautiful weather. Traffic is not so good and well...most do not speak English. Otherwise-- this is a fantastic city! Every major city has crime.

Flat, Blue Skies, Blue Beach Waters, Tasty Mango's,
A lot of Humidity, A Lot of Rain, Too many Cubans
No Hills or Mountains and Avocados the size of a football.
A beautiful place to visit , But the people's attitude suck.
