I'm using WinAVI Video converter 7.7. This tells me its converted to DVD but when i try to copy to DVD i get complete C"*p

For a start what softeware are you using to do the conversion I've found Nero does a good job of conversion to dvd format

There is not quite enough info to tell you what is wrong. It sounds like a codec problem, but could be almost anything.
Try visiting this site: http://www.videohelp.com and doing a search or two. Or read a couple of the guides available there.
And if you're still stuck, ask your questions in the forums. There are some really savvy members there who will help.

To be honest your best bet is NERO 7, will do all for you, expensive true, but can't be beaten for the quality

just check out the freeware programs they are hundred's of converters, around and you will be supporting the little people in programming
