I love this idea. I tell people to describe a colour without naming an object. They can get as far as "Red is hot, blue is cold" but then I ask them to explain the colour green.
Because you can't know definitely if the colour you're looking at is the same colour I'm looking at, even though we both recognise it as "green", there's no way we will ever know if we are seeing the same thing.
I think the shape is the same regardless of who is looking, but all the details are different.

Yeah. All of us see different things and it's somewhat impossible for two persons to see an exact, same and very similar thing at a time. Never did that happen in history. Right?:)

I don't know about the cup theory but I see things differently than some. i.e. there are two rocks perched a top one another on this road and I see a rabbit w/its ears back, others see two rocks.

Yes, on the one hand we all tend to perceive slightly differently.
On the other, the color of our eyes subtley changes the tint of light entering it so we all see colors differently. Its a major pain in the butt for people involved in color reproduction (graphic designers, photographers, printers etc.) hence an entire industry has sprung up around the field of "color correction".

Yep! It's called perception - and everybody does notice something different about a certain object.

I think some people see a frog when I look at a marrow, and other people see me when I'm not looking

I do believe so....mainly because, even though some people have SOOO much in common...there will ALWAYS be a difference of opinion....in color, shape, sound....SOMETHING...
No 2 people can see anything....EXACTLY alike....
