Personally, i think its fine, HEALTHY infact,
Make it MANDATORY, itd stop all the aggression in the world! lol
I have never seen two people on pot get in a fight because it is IMPOSSIBLE. "Hey, buddy!" "Hey, what?" "Ummmmmmm...." End of argument.
Look, if people do it and it DOESNT AFFECT / HARM ANYONE ELSE (like Smoking at home so no 3rd party smoke even!!)
Who are you to judge other people?
Live and let live right?
Increase the peace, FREE THE WEED!
"If you don't believe drugs have done good things for us, then go home and burn all your records, all your tapes, and all your CDs because every one of those artists who have made brilliant music and enhanced your lives? RrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrEAL high on drugs. The Beatles were so high they let Ringo sing a few songs." - Bill Hicks

I very rarely smoke it, suppose i have grown out of it, but I do personally like it, but not as much as i used to. it screws your memory there is no doubt about it. And depending on what you're smoking can make you paranoid and i also think it can cause quite serious long term damage if you cant keep the habit unde control.
That being said, i definately think it should be legal, it is a plant, and so are mushrooms, truffles, and mesculine cactus. It's wrong to ban something you could literally go and find growing.
I know a few people that smoke bongs all day long, and its messed their head right up. Though i also know one that does the same thing but has kept a quite good office job for years now, despite that fact that he goes home and smokes bongs on his lunch break, it effects everyone differently.
Personally it makes me thick as two short planks the second i smoke any, and i normally tend toget lost or get the giggles r both. It's nice when you've been out clubbing on a hardcore session and then you or someone pulls out a joint. Basically whats the phucking big deal with it, if you wanna smoke it, smoke it if you dont, then dont, problem solved.

I don't smoke either however I am a marijuana advocate, in fact in the 1930's when it was illegalized the whole reason it was illegalized was to prevent mexican immigration. The surgeon general at the time even stated there were no known harmful side effects however the attorney general was adament on keeping mexicans out via the illegalization of marijuana. These are facts as presented by the History Channel on the show Illegal Drugs and How they got that way. Now there are studies that show it helps prevent alzheimers disease and helps women have more frequent orgasms. Not to mention there is NO physical addiction as there is with heroin and cocaine. The addiction of marijuana is strictly mental, the user "needs" it simply because they want it, you know old habits die hard type of deal. As long as your bf's pot smoking isn't hurting him or your relationship I wouldn't worry about it, there has NEVER been a single marijuana related death and that is a medial fact, if you don't believe me do some research and check out the History channel show. The only negative thing it does is it damages your short term memory cells, not long term and yes there is a difference. Hope that helps.

Iam mixed about this.
I used to be all for it- it seems a non threatening drug as in heronine being more threatening, and also seemed to help people with chronic pain problems.
But after being admitted to a general psychiatric unit for a few nights (I dont smoke- I just tried to come off seroxat- my anti depressent- and I couldnt cope with the withdrawals), literally 80% of the pateints there had mental health problems created by smoking C. They couldn't quite grasp the understanding that I and one other girl, hadn't and even tried to convince me it was safe to say that I had, that they wouldnt shout at me or put me into jail- I stuck to my guns and that still couldnt seem to believe that I was smoke free.
It seems really unfair the levels the people got to which were recognised side effect of smokning. -schitsophrenis, manic depression, bi-ploar, was also very pronimant that those who were no expressing as many "I am Jesus" statements (yes really), had put a stop to the smoking, it improved their health drastically.
I think far more need to be researched into smoking C, Maybe not everyone ends up witrh mental health problems, maybe there is a genetic factor to say who gets ill and who survives unscathed. I think until people are far more sure of the effects of smoking, it should stay illegal.
I also think that the people banning the drug- smoking, need to rethink the way they enforcr the ban. Like trying to work WITH people to stop them smoking- taking people who have experienced or who are nmow experiencing mental health problems, into the community- schools, places of work, tv documentaries...etc, to make more public the effects. Its one thing to smoke it, its another to experience someone having a personality flip after a smoke.

I believe that all people should be responsible for what they decide to use. They should also be free to use whatever they like, no matter what happens. Freedom is not easy, nor are the responsibilities of our actions.
On medical terms, except some research on people of Rastafari faith, for the damages caused by the excessive use, there are not that many serious sideffects from light use. It seems that apart from the respiratory system burden and nausea, you should be careful with all activities that require attention, such as driving or machine operation. There isn't a single serious study that it makes you stupid, or get you cancer, or leads you towards other drugs. Have in mind that although there is no physical addiction, you may develop psychological, but as said before, you should be responsible for your actions...

So long as you're not hurting or endangering others, I believe that its your own business what you do in the privacy of your own home, and we have no right putting people in jail for smoking a plant. I see anti-marijuana campaigns on TV, followed by beer commercials and it makes me laugh.
As a former substance abuse treatment worker, I saw people addicted to just about everything, from heroin to angel dust, and I never saw anyone seeking treatment for smoking pot, by itself. I'm not saying its not bad for you or that its not addictive, I'm sure that it is, but it doesn't have the tendency of destroying lives that alcohol and hard drugs have. Sure, maybe it can make some people a little lazy, and maybe with enough time it can cause respiratory disease, but it doesn't put you on the street eating out of dumpsters, it doesn't tear families apart, it doesn't cause people to become violent, or ruin their careers, or cause 100,000+ deaths in the US alone each year, which are all things alcohol does.
And no, I don't smoke pot, or drink for that matter, but I'm a fan of personal freedom.

Its good healing herb for people who are ill, but a lot of the time people who smoke it go on to smoke it daily just out of habit, when they have no need to.
i used to use it a lot and i've lost girlfriends as i preferred at that time to smoke than do anything with them like going out.
for a non-addicitve drug the people who smoke it really go to a lot of effort to get some when they haven't got any left!

I dont think it is any worse than going to the pub and having a few drinks - some people say that smoking it leads to hard drugs but i dont believe that, i have smoked it years ago and i have never progressed to hard drugs (i dont touch it now, but not because im against it i just cant afford it lolol) that is like saying if you like a few drinks then you are going to become an alcoholic
I say legalise cannabis but not any other drugs - after all beers, spirits and wines are all legal .............

I have two sides to this, 1st I have seen the recreational use of cannabis lead to drug addition
BUT,,,,,,,,,,,,, I can also testify to the fact that after twenty-eight years of migraines I haven't found anything that stops a migraine faster and with fewer side effects. Sometimes I really regret the fact that I grew up and made the decision to be clean and sober but when the pain passes I think about all the lives I've seen wasted and I'm glad I did.
