For your size and age - your 40 time is just fine.
Whomever thinks this is "slow" besides you...is an idiot.
You'll always be your own worst critic.
In fact, I would say you just hang in there and as you develope, great things will happen for you. Play where the coach puts you.
You have more growing to do and a lot more football to learn.
But I would say this...with your size and ability...I would want you on MY Defensive line.
Good luck with whatever you do...coach knows where he wants you. Trust in that - and get good grades.

Your 40 time is a little slow....partly due to the fact that you are a little heavy for 14 years old. Don't out grow your body. Lose 10-20lbs now and continue to workout and then start to build muscle as your body matures. Eat right, exercise, and continue to run and sprint and you will get stronger and faster.
As far as a position....At that weight and 14 years old and 5.7 speed i would say any type of lineman, but if you lose some weight, which would also make you a little faster, then you could have more options. You also have to remember that you are still going to grow in height, probably 3 inches or so, maybe less, but maybe more. So don't count on being 5'9" forever. That growth will also give you more options.
Most important thing is continue to work on overall body conditioning, health and strength and train on the fundamentals of football, footwork, agility, speed, overall strength, etc. and you will be able to work into the right position for you.
Good luck!!

i have to go with r8dernation and mike is bad here. and a 5.7 40 time for 208lb. 14 year old is not bad at all. a lineman is what you should be, no doubt, wheather it be offense or defense. my guess is by the time you're 17-18 you'll be about 6'5" and with the right weight training , about 265 - 270 lbs. so you can be a monster lineman, and there is a certain pride that comes from being a lineman..... i played o & d line for 10 years, without even being close to the size you'll be. so best of luck to you, and i hope you make all us lineman proud!

With those numbers, you'll be a either a tight end or a lineman. I'm sorry and no offense, but you're not fast enough to be a reciever and conversely a cornerback. Maybe a linbacker depending on what kind of defense your team runs. It's all arbitrary because only you know what position you want to play and at 14 you have enough time to excel at many of them. I mean there are some big RB's, FB's, and QB's out there.

Well, it depends. You cold try to be a run-blocking specified tight end, with the option of being the safety valve for the quarterback. I'd suggest either middle linebacker (you don't have to be as fast and you get to blitz the most), or noseguard (defensive line, up on the center-and they're usually slow off the snap). You're of decent size for a freshman (?), so guard or tackle might be worth taking a look at. However, I suggest defense, as it's less thinking and more wanton with the contact.

With that height and weight. Along with the pretty slow 40 you'd be a pretty good short yardage back. Be great for running it up the middle for the real tough yards. You could also play MLB in a scheme where they blitz a lot. Because then your speed doesn't matter as much because you won't be dropping into coverage so much.

Your 40 time isn't bad Ive heard worse but its not to impress to anyone ma be in the future try and get it down to a 5.5 of 5.4 that will impress a lot of people. but for you size and your age your probably at a Jr high school level or at a freshman level I think ur the right size for lot of positions but DB isn't one your just to slow if you guard even a mediocre WR with a 5.3 your just to slow just face it but consider FB or TE mabe some MLB. But look at what you can do can you throw ma be QB. Try lifting weights early if you wand to pursue football further than high school it would be a good time to start I wish I had now I have to work harder than I would have if I had started Early.

your still growing, and at 208lbs at 14 years old already!!GO OFFENSIVE LINE!!! Give up trying to be any kind of reciever or TE with a 40 time 5.7 you will be linebacker bait.If you play high school football and can build your body up to a solid 280-295lbs by your senior and with talent CHA CHING that would attract college scouts

Try out for Corner Back. Recievers try to break past the first five yards from scrim* BUT YOU STAND IN THE WAY WITH A BIG OL' WALL OF FAT AND MUSCLE, baby!!! Just run into them, and they'll hit the dirt before they can go anywhere.

well if you were A LOT faster I would say WR(WR's are in the 4.7 range at your age I think) but since you have some size, block well, tough and are VERY GOOD at catching the ball, I think TE(tight end) would be optimal for ya.
